The Dedication and Experience To Help You

Consult Our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Pharmaceutical Litigation Attorneys

Dangerous drugs abound on the market today, with many being sold in health food stores under the guise of 'health supplements' in order to avoid the FDA approval process. Some dangerous drugs have been FDA-approved, but were not adequately tested for side effects before being made available for public consumption. Other dangerous drugs are removed from store shelves before the full scope of the risks and dangers of their use is widely known.

If you or a loved one has been harmed or has suffered injuries as the result of taking a dangerous drug, contact our firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania today. The pharmaceutical litigation attorneys of Shrager, Spivey & Sachs have the training and experience to handle your claim.

Accutane®

Accutane® is a powerful prescription acne medication requiring a consent form to be signed prior to treatment. As with most drugs, some Accutane® users have experienced side effects. While most side effects are mild to moderate, like sensitivity to sunlight and dry skin, some are severe. Accutane® has been associated with birth defects that include mental retardation, physical deformities, and fetal death. Other severe adverse effects of the drug include depression, psychosis, and, in extreme cases, suicide. If you or a loved one has suffered debilitating side effects as a result of Accutane® use, our Philadelphia law firm will evaluate your case. Contact our pharmaceutical litigation attorneys today to get the help you deserve.

OxyContin®

A potent and arguably addictive painkiller, oxycodone hydrochloride (OxyContin®) is an opiate, like heroin. Commonly used to alleviate chronic pain, the drug can also be used as a sedative. The euphoric feelings that result from use of OxyContin® have led to its abuse. Although it is a time-released drug, there have been many OxyContin® overdose deaths. Chewing or crushing the pills and then snorting or injecting them thwarts the drug's time-release nature, making overdose more likely. Combining OxyContin® with other drugs or alcohol is equally as dangerous. Our Pennsylvania pharmaceutical litigation attorneys are currently accepting cases involving OxyContin®. If using OxyContin® has caused harm to you or a loved one, please contact Shrager, Spivey & Sachs today!

Fen-Phen

Used to promote weight loss, fen-phen is a combination of the drugs fenfluramine (sold as Pondimin®) or dexfenfluramine (sold as Redux®) with phentermine. Fen-phen was removed from the market in 1997 when it was associated with heart valve disease and primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH). Many fen-phen users suffered permanent heart valve anomalies, and some with PPH required a heart or lung transplant because of that organ's failure. If you or a family member has taken the dangerous drug fen-phen, please see a physician immediately for an evaluation. If you have suffered injuries, please contact our office in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a review of your case. During your consultation, our pharmaceutical litigation attorneys will be able to give you a better idea of how to proceed with a defective drugs claim.
