Shrager, Sachs, & Blanco is pleased to announce that Managing Partner Rob Sachs has been elected to the Board of Directors of The Lawyers’ Club of Philadelphia. A prestigious honor that highlights Attorney Sachs’ positive reputation throughout the local and legal communities, selection to the Lawyers’ Club Board of Directors is a distinction reserved for respected attorneys who are committed to furthering the organization’s mission of promoting camaraderie among members of the bench and the bar in the Philadelphia area. Mr. Sachs will serve a three year term on the Board of Directors.
Started in 1892, The Lawyers’ Club of Philadelphia is a professional legal organization that has been steadfast in its efforts to create good fellowship between lawyers and members of the legal profession in the Philadelphia region and Judges throughout Philadelphia and the state of Pennsylvania, including Judges in the Supreme, Federal, Superior, Commonwealth, and Appeals Courts.
By fostering positive relationships, the Club’s leadership and Board of Directors play a vital role in ensuring judicial fairness, impartiality, and civility – pillars of the judicial system that benefit Pennsylvania residents who find themselves facing a wide range of legal proceedings. Too often, politics and differing interests in and outside of the courtroom have the ability to taint legal proceedings. This includes relationships between not only the bench and the bar, but also between plaintiff and defense lawyers, government counsel, and all other differing interests who share the same dedication to their profession.
Attorney Sachs’ election to the Board of Directors speaks volumes about his continued dedication to the art of law, and his more than 30 years spent fighting for victims and families injured by the negligence of others. Over the years, the respect he’s earned has translated into a number of important roles for public and legal interest organizations, including:
- Five years as one of Pennsylvania’s Governors on the Board of American Association for Justice
- Chair of the AAJ Publications Committee, 2010-2013
- Chairman of the AAJ Nursing Home Litigation Group, 2011-2012
- Board Member of the AAJ Truck Litigation Group, 2009-2012
- Board member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, Philadelphia Trial Lawyers’ Association, Public Justice Foundation, and SeniorLaw Center
Our firm congratulates Rob on his election to the Board and his continued diligence toward improving the legal system for both plaintiffs and professionals.
