When is a Failed Plastic Surgery Procedure Considered Malpractice?

Social media and influencers have put plastic surgery procedures more into the mainstream over the last couple years even though they have been common for a long time. According to Health Research Funding (HRF), 14.6 million cosmetic surgeries are completed in the United States each year. With that many procedures happening annually, it only makes sense that some of them go wrong. In fact, about 1% of all plastic surgeries result in complications. That might sound small, but that averages out to about 150,000 patients a year with[...]

Privacy Rights You Need to Be Aware of When Filing a Personal Injury Claim

What Can We Do to Prevent Accidents That Occur at Intersections?

Intersections come in many different sizes, designs, and configurations. Some intersections contain as many as six converging streets. For any driver, but especially those with little experience driving or knowledge of the area, intersections can be confusing. When that confusion is combined with impatience or general negligence, the chances of an accident happening increases significantly. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), approximately 40 percent of all traffic accidents take place at intersections. The most common cause of these accidents is aggressive driving. Behaviors that are[...]

Over 70 Nursing Homes with ‘Serious Deficiencies’ Have HUD Mortgages

Earlier this month, two Pennsylvania Senators, Pat Toomey (R) and Bob Casey (D), issued a report identifying 478 nursing homes in the nation as having “serious deficiencies.” These facilities in turn were labeled as “special focus facilities” by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
